Anything Worth Doing is Worth Doing Poorly

I believe whole heartedly in the statement above. It's been said by many people throughout time I'm sure and it's a great way to get people to take action. If it's worth doing something about, just do something... anything!

But in my eyes, there is one flaw with this logic. While the purpose of this statement is to get people to just do something... I am an overachiever. I don't belive in doing anything poorly. I was an overachiever in school, graduating 13th in my class. I had to go to college to get a degree and had a good GPA in college. I was a standout in all the sports I played, captain of the team, all county honors, etc... So you see, poorly just isn't in my vocabulary... or so I thought.

You see, for about 6 months now I've been entering into the world of Real Estate Investing little by little. I've went to a couple of seminars and have a real estate investing coach that I have been working with getting me to understand techniques and logic that I can use, and I've been getting a little frustrated at my situation.

I had come to the realization that Real Estate Investing was something worth doing, something worth looking into and I put all of these wheels into motion, going to seminars, coaching, but then I stopped spinning the wheels.

I was doing Real Estate Investing poorly.

I thought that going to the seminars and doing coaching was doing enough, and that by doing those things that the other stuff would just come flowing in. All I've really done is prepare myself for what I should be doing. Don't get me wrong, I believe in every level of preparation possible, but at some point preparation must stop and the action must start.

I will no longer settle for doing Real Estate Investing poorly.

I just ordered some business cards finally which should be here in about 2 weeks. I had already ordered car magnets and bandit signs... it's about time I used them. I am committed to finding my team members and using them to the fullest extent of their abilities. It's time to start taking action... massive action!

Stop and think for a minute... In what areas of your life are you doing things poorly? How amazing would your life be if you were doing these things extraordinary!

Oh, and by the way, if you know of anyone in the Maryland area looking to sell their house, give me a buzz at the number below!

My Definition of Wealth

There are many ways to define wealth. Some associate a monetary figure with it while others consider it a lifestyle. I tend to believe that it is a feeling that culminates from factors in all areas of your life, not just your finances.

You see, I don't need a million dollars to be wealthy, nor do I need fast cars. While I am striving to become financially free and don't get me wrong it would be nice to have a million dollars and a fancy car, those are not the things that are going to make me wealthy.

I define money and cars, or whatever else that may be desired, as riches. Now I'm not saying that being rich is a bad thing, in fact I consider it a great thing. You can do many wonderful things with a million dollars! You can increase your/others quality of life, you can give to charity to help others, you can create a business to provide jobs and the list goes on and on. In fact, I'm committed to becoming rich so I can do all of those things, plus tons more, but I will never let my riches define my wealth, because in an instant all of that could be taken away.

The things that make me wealthy are my ability to love and receive love, laughing at a good joke, sharing deep thoughts with a good friend, caring enough to help someone in need, crying at a good movie, singing at the top of my lungs... the spices of life. Those my friends are the true measures of wealth and those can never be taken from me as long as I live.
